Expanding on the original GUN which was released in 2005 players will be able to get their teeth into five new missions for the PSP version entitled GUN: Showdown. In GUN: Showdown players assume the role of Colton White. Poor old Colton pays the price for living on the wild frontier when bandits kill his family and burn down his home. In a story written by Randall Jahnson (Mask of Zorro and The Doors) there will be many twists and turns on your quest to exact revenge on the outlaws who took everything that was dear to old Colton. Colton’s life will be made much easier with the help of various weapons including six-shooters shotguns gatling guns arrows hatchets and explosives. The game is mission-based and there should be plenty to keep mobile gamers amused. Cattle rustlers deputies and indians are just a few of the characters that will get buckshot in the behind if they cross Mr. White. There are numerous side missions that will help players master horse riding and gun slinging. If completed successfully various new weapons and skills will unlock. Players will be pleased to read that GUN: Showdown for PSP has a wealth of Quick-Play modes including Shotgun Games Mission Challenge and even Texas Hold’em poker. The onset of global warming and the resultant changes in the world’s climate is having a devastating effect on the Arctic and the animals that live there. Based on the follow up to March of the Penguins Arctic Tale follows the story of two of these amazing creatures as they face their daily battle to survive in the ever changing surroundings of the Arctic Circle. As a cub The Arctic is your playground. Under the watchful eye of your mother you can explore and play all day long. Just watch out for the adult male bears because they don’t like playful cubs. The challenges you face are indicated by the Bear Markers. You can also play and complete challenges as other animals but you have to unlock them first. To play as another land animal you must go through one of the magic caves hidden around the game. You can then play their challenges as well. To play as a water animal as long as you have collected sufficient Silver Paw Prints you can go to their markers directly and play their challenges. Arctic Tale also includes minigames where you search for food to help you survive. Advance through the game by playing the various challenges (Orca Race Walrus Chase Ice Slide and Clam Scavenge are just a selection of what awaits) to win Bronze Silver and Gold awards. You can then use these awards to unlock the next stage of your bear’s life. Finally there’s a two-player option available to play party games against a friend in Catch-A-Seal Food Fight Sweet Music and Balance Fight.
